The Hub

Here at ‘The Hub’ we have a warm and welcoming cafe and bar, a wheelchair friendly playground, a lovely little village shop, and a spacious art exhibition hall for you to enjoy. We also host a number of different community events which you are welcome to join. Additionally, we have a number of rooms to hire, including our exhibition hall.

We are a dog friendly establishment, so please feel free to bring your dog(s) with you! We have water ‘on-tap’ in our children’s outdoor play area for filling dog bowls (or water bottles for yourself).

There are designated parking spaces outside, for both cars and motorbikes, as well as a bike rack for you to secure your bicycle.

Winter Gritting and Salt Bins

Dumfries and Galloway Roads Services has been working on improving how they engage with local communities and can now provide a gritter tracking system. Track My Gritter allows members of the public to follow DGC's 18 winter service vehicles as they carry out winter maintenance on the primary and secondary routes across our region during periods of severe weather.

The location of the vehicles is tracked on a map as they travel, providing their most up-to-date location.  The map stores the last 12 hours of vehicle movements.  Grit bins can also be viewed on the map and make it easier to report empty, missing or vandalised bins
